COTONOU, Sept. 9 (Xinhua) -- Benin exceed 8.0% in 2020 and would reach 9.2% by 2022, reveals the programming document
multiannual budget and economic 2020-2022, reached Monday in Xinhua in Cotonou
According to the same document produced by the General Directorate of budget of the Beninese Ministry of Finance and
of the Economy, this acceleration in the growth of the economy would be mainly attributable to non
only to particularly advantageous changes in commodity and exchange rate prices,
but also to a rapid implementation, better than expected, of economic reforms.
To this end, economic policy in 2020 will be in line with the main options taken by the State in the plan
National Development 2018-2025, the growth agenda for sustainable development
2018-2021 and the government's action program 2016-2021, explains the same source.
"Through these policy documents, the State affirms its commitment to initiate structural transformation
of the Beninese economy in order to diversify it, make it more productive and put it on a more stable
and more solid for a substantial improvement in the conditions of the populations," the document says.
