Elected almost two weeks ago at the head of the APBEF-CI, Daouda Coulibaly, wants to place his mandate under the sign of "gathering and defending the interests of bankers, in discussion with the entire private sector and the public sector”.
And this, to further develop the relationship between banks and customers, he says, in the drive to further promote banking (increasing the number of people with bank accounts) in the country, one of its challenges, as well as financial inclusion.
He also ensures that he wants to allow banking establishments to grant “more credits” with less headache, thanks to the implementation of new systems, a “real challenge” which all banks are faced with.
Regarding the challenges of digital in the sector, he recognizes that we must not remain on the sidelines, and intends to ensure that this is increasingly integrated into the services and management methods of financial institutions which are developing their digital bank.
Mr. Daouda Coulibaly, Managing Director of Société Ivoirienne de Banque (SIB), a subsidiary of the Moroccan Attijariwafa Bank Group, was elected for a two-year term. He replaces the former general manager of Versus Bank (public), Guy Koizan
