According to the Bceao, at the end of June 2019, Togo accounted for only 3.06% of issuances, in terms of transaction
by electronic money within the WAEMU (West African Economic and Monetary Union). For a
set of transactions established in the Union, respectively at CFAF 156.12 billion in the first
quarter (up 29.50% year-on-year), and to 143.58 billion CFA francs in the second quarter.
If, in proportion, the country still comes ahead of Guinea-Bissau (0.99% of emissions) and Niger (0.54%),
it comes just behind its neighbor Benin (3.07% of shipments) and Senegal (3.95%). Burkina Faso
and Mali account for 11.66% and 15.14% of electronic funds issuances in space
