Launched a digital platform for reporting offences
cybercriminals. The new platform was set up with the support
of the United Nations Fund
for children (Unicef).
The Special Division digital platform of
The fight against cybercrime was presented as a major lever for
reform of the public sector and the strengthening of community policing. The
Deputy director of the judicial police, Moustapha Diouf said
“developed internally by engineers from the National Police, the
online reporting platform for cybercriminal offenses constitutes
a major lever for the reform of the public sector and the strengthening of
local police.”
For the latter, “it offers users a
secure and confidential official channel for reporting related offenses
to information and communication technologies at the division
special fight against cybercrime.”
The National Police reports that this platform will be fully deployed, secure and accessible online.
It is already functional and ready to date in
the framework for a phase of testing the validation of reporting mechanisms,
data collection, processing and export, based on a
interaction between users and operational teams in the Division
special fight against cybercrime.
