The AfDB and the BDM-SA proceeded, today August 16, 2019, to the signing of a credit line agreement for an amount of thirty million (30,000,000) euros or 20 billion CFA francs.
The signing ceremony was placed under the chairmanship of His Excellency, Doctor Boubou CISSE, Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Finance.

This financing will contribute to achieving the performance commitments of BDM-SA by strengthening sustainable development and economic growth through the leverage of the banking sector.

The funding envelope is intended for key sectors of the economy: Agriculture, Industry, Energy and Social Affairs with a component intended for women. This ensures inclusive and sustainable growth.

Through targeted productive investments and a thousand jobs from eligible projects will be created.

The envelope will also help to strengthen the country's economic growth and reduce unemployment.

Ranked Best Sub-Regional Bank in West Africa in 2018 by African Banker Magazine, on the sidelines of the AfDB General Assembly ceremonies in BUSAN, South Korea, this envelope will support BDM-SA to strengthen its leading position nationally and regionally.

Mali's leading banking group thanks to the establishment of four (4) international subsidiaries (BDU-Côte d'Ivoire, BDU-Burkina Faso, BDU-BISSAU, BDM-France), BDM-SA will consolidate its internal foundations by the availability of adequate liquidities injected into the parent company to give a boost to its activities.

Resources are therefore needed to improve customer services. This is why, to better optimize the service experience for its customers and strengthen its achievements, BDM-SA has set itself the objective of mobilizing adequate resources in order to provide solutions adapted to the financing needs of the private sector. .

This funding envelope contributes to the achievement of strategic objectives. It is a key element in the implementation of its medium-term strategic plan 2018-2020.

This agreement signed today definitively seals a strategic partnership between BDM-SA and the AfDB. It should be remembered that the AfDB is a key reference partner in financing the development of the African continent. The – BDM-SA will draw on this experience, expertise and support to develop its activities nationally and internationally.
