This Monday, copper continued to fall for a second consecutive session. Investors adopting an attitude against risk after the nomination of Kevin Warsh as the next Fed chair, while demand also remained weak in the run-up to the holidays of Chinese lunar new year.

The most active copper contract on the stock exchange Shanghai futures fell by 7.60% to 100,110 yuan (14,401.00) $) per metric ton at 03:30 GMT.

The reference price for copper at three months on the London Metal Exchange fell 2.73% to $12,798 a ton.

Copper suffers setbacks after reaching Historic highs on both stock exchanges on Thursday, reaching 114,160 yuan in Shanghai and 14,527.50 dollars in London, supported by a frenzy speculative purchases.

Like other industrial metals, copper has also under pressure due to the weakening prospects of Demand in the run-up to the Lunar New Year vacation, which starts on the 15th February in China, the main consumer market.

Among other base metals, tin led the massive sale, with the most traded contract in Shanghai reaching its limit of fell by 11% to 392,650 yuan per ton.

The London pewter reference price has fallen by 6.93 per cent to $48,355 per ton.

The fall in the price of tin makes the bubbles burst previous speculatives, according to operators. On the SHFE, aluminum has tumbled by 6.64%, zinc by 5.64%, lead by 1.61% and nickel by 8.09%.

Among the other metals of LME, aluminum fell by 2.40%, zinc by 2.88%, lead by 1.72% and 3.92% nickel
