After three days of decline, copper fell slightly progressed on Wednesday. Market players are waiting for data to be published on American employment, delayed, the uncertainties concerning the decision of the Federal Reserve on interest rates limiting the rise.

The most active copper contract on the stock exchange of Shanghai futures rose 0.15% to 86,060 yuan (12%) $107.48) per ton at 03:00 GMT.

The three-month copper reference price on London Metal Exchange also grew by 0.26% to reach $10,747.5 per ton.

Copper, on the other hand, remained supported by supply concerns, caused by disruptions in mines around the world.

Freeport expects its copper and gold production in 2026 will be substantially equivalent to that of 2025.

Chinese production of refined copper has declined by 4.9% in October compared to the previous month, but still registered an increase of 8.9% over one year, according to official data published on Tuesday.

Among the other base metals of SHFE, aluminum increased by 0.19%, zinc by 0.34%, nickel by 0.26%, tin by 0.87% and lead recorded the only decrease of 0.41%.

Among the other metals in LME, aluminum has increased by 0.52%, zinc by 0.32%, lead by 0.10%, nickel by 0.29% and 0.34% tin.
