From our correspondent: Assane Seydou More than 500 billion CFA francs have been collected in
2019 by the Directorate General of Taxes (DGI), revealed, Tuesday in Niamey, Moussa Oumarou, Secretary General
of the National Union of Tax Agents (SNAI) of Niger.
"In 2019, taxes collected more than 500 billion CFA francs, including more than 30 billion CFA francs from cash, i.e
7% increase," Oumarou said at a press briefing
According to him, despite the economic gloom coupled with the closure of Nigeria's border and the insecurity that
prevails in the country, the DGI has been able to control the situation and achieved 97% of the objectives assigned to it.
He justifies these results by the good collaboration that exists between the National Union of Tax (SNAI) and the supervisory authorities, in this case the Minister of Finance.
