Assurance, last Friday, March 27, the Lagos State Government disbursed a
total of 701,054,344.57 naira to 232 families of civil servants who died in
service. Beneficiaries received checks in Ikeja.
During the Ministry of Finance's program, in
collaboration with LASACO
Assurance, the Commissioner for Finance, Abayomi Oluyomi, commended
Governor Babajide
Sanwo-Olu for "making the welfare of civil
servants and their families a priority."
"On behalf of the Lagos State Government and the
Ministry of Finance, I extend my deepest condolences to the 232 families
present. Nothing can replace the love, presence, and support of those you have
lost," Abayomi Oluyomi stated.
Oluyomi also urged the beneficiaries to make
judicious use of the funds.
"See this support as a seed that will help you rebuild your lives, whether by paying school fees, supporting a small business, repaying debts, or ensuring the stability of your home. By doing so, you honor the sacrifices made by your loved ones," he told the beneficiaries.
