The development and expansion plan implemented by EgyptAir is part of a global strategy to modernise the fleet and strengthening regional leadership, in line with the vision of the State Egyptian aiming to develop the air transport industry while ensuring environmental and economic sustainability, according to a press release from the ministry.

34 new last-generation aircraft equipped with modern technologies will be integrated into the Egyptian fleet as part of the plan to support and strengthen the country's air fleet, according to the statement published by the Ministry of Civil Aviation on Wednesday 22 October.

This strategic initiative is directly supported by the Egyptian government investment plan for development airport, in particular the upcoming construction of terminal 4 of the airport Cairo International, which promises to increase airport capacity Egyptians and to benefit both the national economy and EgyptAir.

This commitment to growth and excellence of the challenges facing the airline industry has been put in evidence during the participation of the pilot Adel in the 58th General Assembly of the Arab Air Carriers Organization (AACO) in Rabat, Morocco, where it also participated in a round table entitled “Strategic challenges in the airline industry”, in dialogue with industry peers such as only the CEOs of Air Arabia Group, Flydubai and Airlines for Europe.

A central pillar of the modernization plan is the acquisition of 34 new aircraft, finalizing a major agreement that includes Airbus A350-900 and last-generation Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.
