Niger is accelerating its strategy of diversification of energy partnerships. This Wednesday, January 14, 2026, a high-level working session between the Nigerien authorities and the Indonesian ambassador laid the groundwork for ambitious cooperation in the oil sector.

Infrastructure: A 20,000 refinery barrels and 45 blocks identified, of which only 9 are in the exploration phase.

This alliance with Indonesia marks a decisive step for Niamey, which seeks to maximize its natural resources while diversifying its technological and financial partners on the scene international.
