Tanzania has officially opened its market to products Brazilian livestock. This is what emerged from a press release published on Friday 7 last November by the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, which states that health agreements have been signed between the authorities of two countries for this purpose.

This partnership includes the importation of several products, including meat-based foods, as well as genetic material poultry and cattle (fertilized eggs, day-old chicks, in vivo and in vitro). It also includes breeding cattle, which are now eligible for export to Tanzania.

The opening of the Tanzanian market to products of Brazilian breeding is thus part of a larger strategy of local capacity building. Brazil, with more than 230 million Head of cattle, is among the largest breeders in the world. He is also renowned for its advances in animal genetics, in particular through the Nelore and Giroando breeds, which are particularly adapted to the conditions hot and humid like those in Tanzania.
