The Central Bank of West African States (Bceao) has opened a Fintech Knowledge and Monitoring Office (Bcsf). This initiative is part of the promotion of financial innovations.

The Central Bank informs that the Bcsf's mission is to promote the FinTech sector by organizing exchanges between the Regulator and these actors, who have become essential in the digital transformation and the promotion of financial inclusion. In order to support the development of the Union's Fintechs, the Bcsf is in particular responsible for collecting and processing any request for information or interview with the regulator as well as any subject of common interest, in connection with technological innovations and the regulation of the financial sector.
