Barid Al-Maghrib and the National Commission for the Supervision of Personal Data Protection Staff (CNDP) formalized, on Thursday in Rabat, the signing of an agreement marking the postal group's membership in the DATA-TIKA program. Supported by the CNDP, This national initiative aims to support public and private organizations in a sustainable compliance with Law No. 09-08 relating to protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of data at personal character.

The convention was signed by the CEO of the Barid Al-Maghrib Group, Amin Benjelloun Touimi, and the president of the CNDP, Omar Seghrouchni. It is part of a logic of strengthened institutional cooperation, with the ambition to make the protection of personal data a real lever of trust, of digital transformation and competitiveness.

As part of this agreement, Barid Al-Maghrib will benefit from dedicated support to strengthen its regulatory compliance. This includes in particular the training of trainers and pilot access to the dematerialization platform for notifications to the CNDP. The objective is to facilitate ownership of the requirements of Law 09-08 and to anchor good practices in the long term within the teams.

The agreement provides for also the systematic integration of data protection into business and strategic projects of the group. Reflection workshops will be organized around the uses of data, the challenges related to sensitive data, to accommodation, information systems and new technologies.

In addition, Barid Al-Maghrib and CNDP intend to contribute jointly to the development of national guidelines to strengthen the pillars of trust digital. This work will focus in particular on the cloud, the services of trust, “privacy by design”, commercial prospecting and innovative data processing.

Through this membership in the DATA-TIKA program, Barid Al-Maghrib reaffirms its commitment to data protection staff at the heart of its digital transformation strategy, in line with its commitments in terms of accountability, transparency and respect for rights of users.
