The Aliko Dangote refinery has started the export of its products to the United States. It is a new page that opens for the richest man in Africa. The first shipments of gasoline were received on Monday by the oil trader Vitol and the American fuel distributor Sunoco.

The tanker Gemini Pearl delivered the cargo, marking an important milestone for the Dangote refinery of a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day, whose production had been expected since long by players in the energy market to meet standards strict regulations on American car fuels, according to Reuters.

According to the report, Vitol bought around 320,000 barrels of gasoline to Mocoh Oil, based in Geneva, and sold the most of the cargo at the North American fuel distributor Sunoco. According to the ship's tracking data, the cargo has been unloaded at Sunoco's Linden factory in the New York Harbor area.
