The Abidjan Exhibition Center, road of The airport will host from September 17 to 19, 2026, the 5 edition of the Abidjan Infrastructure Exhibition (SIA 2026). This event is organized by the Ivorian Building and Public Works Group (GIBTP) in partnership with Axes Marketing.

Planned on the theme” Digitalization, Circular Economy and Sustainable Resource Management in the construction industry”, the SIA 2026 is affirming itself as a strategic meeting for consolidate the competitiveness of the Ivorian and African construction industry, attract new investors and stimulate innovation around economic issues, environmental and technological. For this fifth edition, around 100 exhibitors are expected and nearly 5,000 qualified visitors are expected explore the 19,000 m² of dedicated space, divided between corporate exhibitions, outdoor machine demonstrations and thematic panels. An invited country d'Honneur will also be present to share his experiences and solutions techniques. According to the Exhibition's General Commissioner, Mr. Ismaël Boga-N'Guessan, the SIA 2026 aims to become a strategic and economic platform for the sector.

Indeed, the president of GIBTP, Mr. Lamine Koné, has indicated that this orientation is not a mere slogan, but a necessity strategic. According to him, “the construction sector is at the same time a major consumer of resources and a great lever for innovation and creation jobs and added value. It is becoming imperative for our businesses to integrate digital tools into design, execution and management projects, to adopt the principles of the circular economy and promote more sustainable and efficient management of resources.”

Construction represents 7.5% of Ivorian GDP and contributes to more than 21% of the wealth produced by the secondary sector. In 2023, the 85 GIBTP member companies generated a cumulative turnover of more than 2,830 billion FCFA and around 40,000 direct jobs, making the sector a an essential engine for economic and social development.
