From November 27 to 29, 2025 will be held in Dakar, the second edition of the African Youth Awards (AJA), from the banking group private Ecobank. It is a “major pan-African event, dedicated to promoting youth leadership, innovation and entrepreneurship” in Africa.

The second edition of the Youth Awards African (AJA) will be held on the theme “Tech and Digital Sovereignty”. According to A press release, this meeting will be “co-organized” by Ecobank Senegal and Ecobank Côte d'Ivoire, two subsidiaries of the banking group 'committed [to] building an autonomous African youth, connected and involved in her own transformation.” For Ecobank, “with more of 60% of the African population under the age of 25, youth represents the beating heart of the continent's transformation. By supporting the AJA, Ecobank reaffirms its role as a catalyst for financial inclusion and digital transformation.”

Sahid Yallou, the managing director of its subsidiary Senegalese, says in the press release, speaking about the theme of the event, that “every young African must be able to access digital tools to create, innovate and impact.”
