Compared to 2018, these resources increased by 16.3% in relative terms. The resources mobilized during the period under review consist of budgetary revenues amounting to CFAF 2564.4 billion and grants amounting to CFAF 256.4 billion. The increase in revenue is attributable to budgetary revenues, which strengthened by 20.4%. "The increase in budgetary revenues is driven by tax revenues (2419 billion) which increased by 22.5% thanks to direct and indirect taxes," says the DPEE. Under direct taxation, recoveries are driven by income tax (423.2 billion) and corporation tax (225.4 billion) with increases of 15.4% and 18.6% respectively. Indirect taxes, for their part, are supported by specific taxes (218.8 billion), door duties (324.7 billion), import VAT (477.4 billion) and domestic VAT excluding oil (356.3 billion) which consolidated by 45.6%, 12.4%, 18.1% and 17.5% respectively. As regards specific taxes, their increase is partly the result of the repatriation of the road use tax (TUR). "In short, stresses the DPEE, the repatriation of parafiscal taxes, including the TUR, the Levy of support to the energy sector (PSE) and the Senegalese Council of Shippers (COSEC) has contributed overall to the tune of 184.16 billion FCFA to the recovery".
