At the end of a meeting held in Lomé, the Global Fund for Cities Development and the WAEMU Commission announced the Establishment of a Regional Investment Fund for the municipalities of the 8 countries of the Union, including Togo. An initiative that will benefit from the support of the United Nations.

The Global Fund for Urban Development (GMDF) is an NGO that provides access to financial resources for emerging and developing local authorities external resources needed to finance their urban development projects.
