According to the Central Bank of West African States (Bceao), during the 2018 financial year, Benin's electronic platforms carried out 198.4 million transactions for a total amount of 2,386.4 billion francs. CFA, up 87% and 27% respectively compared to 2017, reports the newspaper L'économie du Bénin on Thursday.

The number of subscribers to electronic financial services is about 7.1 million. The last country in the zone, Uemoa, Togo has about 3.8 million populations who have electronic money accounts at the end of December 2018.
The financial services offer is organized on the model of partnership with banks and telecommunications operators.
