The super‑ application Pan-African Gozem officially launched its activities on Wednesday 5 November in Brazzaville. This initiative marks a key step in its strategy. of expansion in French-speaking Africa. Already present in Togo, Benin, Gabon and in Cameroon, the application now intends to meet mobility needs of the Congolese population thanks to its numerical model.

Already present in Togo, Benin, Gabon and Cameroon, Gozem is supported by SAS Shipping Agencies Services, a subsidiary of the Swiss group MSC, and by Al Mada Ventures, a component of the investment holding Moroccan Al Mada. The company extends its model to the Republic of Congo, where the digitalization of urban mobility services is still limited.

The system is based on a network of partner drivers called “Champions”, who access the platform to offer their services and benefit from digital tools that promote traceability and electronic payment.

Gozem's arrival in Brazzaville comes in a context where the VTC market remains unstructured in Africa, dominated by offers informal and marked by a growing demand for more reliable solutions. The The recent departure of the Russian Yango from the Congolese capital left a void there that the establishment of Gozem could contribute to filling the gap.

The platform will nevertheless have to adapt to local specificities, and manage to establish a climate of trust with drivers and users.
