Joint Capital Markets Development Program (J-CAP) 2020, an international platform

opportunities in the capital market of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA). According to
an information note sent Friday to APA, this meeting which will bring together around 350
participants-experts in financial markets and government decision-makers from around the world, will focus on
the theme: "Investing for growth".
“The Abidjan conference will showcase experiences from around the world and examine how
replicate, will offer new partnerships, investment and business opportunities to
participants and will promote innovative ideas explored during exchanges between sectors
public and private and working groups,” the note explains.
Moreover, underlines the text, this conclave will focus on three themes, namely: the creation of a market
performance of government bonds, the development of the equity and corporate bond market, and
expanding and diversifying the investor base.
Created in 2017 by the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), J-CAP is a
exchange platform for international financial market experts and government decision-makers.
It also aims to mobilize private investment to finance key sectors of the economy
and make the regional market more attractive for long-term investment. In addition to the WAEMU zone, the
J-CAP operates in Bangladesh, Indonesia, Kenya, Morocco, Peru and Vietnam.
