After U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick estimated on Monday that a trade agreement with India would be signed “in the near future.” European stock markets are expected to open slightly higher on Tuesday.

On the American business side, CrossStrike is due to publish its quarterly results this Tuesday after the close of Wall Street.
In Asia, the Nikkei index on the Tokyo Stock Exchange rose 0.1% at the end of trading on Tuesday. The Hang Seng Index on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange rose by 1.3%, while the Shanghai Composite rose by 0.4%.

The two-year stock rate fell by 1 basis point, to 3.94%, around 7:45am on Wednesday. The 10-year US Treasury bond yield fell 2 basis points (0.02 percentage points) to 4.43%.

The greenback gained 0.2% against the Japanese currency, at 143.02 yen. Around 7:45am, the euro lost 0.2% to 1.1417 dollars.

The July contract for soft light crude (WTI) listed on Nymex advanced 27 cents, or 0.4%, to 62.79 dollars per barrel. Around 7:45 a.m., the North Sea Brent contract with the same expiry date listed in London gained 20 cents, or 0.3%, to 64.83
