SMCB capital markets (Mcbcm) and Société Générale Côte d'Ivoire (Sgci) announced that they acted as Co-Lead arrangers to raise approximately 135 million euros to finance the acquisition of JA Delmas (Jad), Caterpillar's exclusive dealer in French-speaking West Africa.

For nearly a century, the Delmas family has represented the iconic brand, the world's leading manufacturer of construction, mining and energy machinery, according to a press release.

Indeed, this document mentions that “the success of this fundraising attests to the extent of the capabilities of the Mcb Group, which acted in particular as Co-Lead arranger, credit officer, security officer, bank account manager and the main lender on the transaction. It also reflects the solidity of the Mauritian financial platform, which makes it possible to structure and finance major operations on the African continent.”
