The Ordinary General Meeting decided to distribute dividends to them for the financial year ended December 31, 2021.
Last Friday, BICIG shareholders received an envelope of 11 billion FCFA francs to be shared between them. This makes BICIG, the first bank in the Cemac zone, to resume paying dividends to shareholders, two years after the decision to suspend Cobac.
Recall that the ordinary general meeting last June approved the financial statements for the year ended 31 December 2022, which ended with a total balance sheet of 775.8 billion francs, up 36% compared to 2020, when it reached 569.8 billion francs.
According to BICIG, this increase is explained by the evolution of customer deposits (+9%), equity (+14%) and other cash resources.
