Unilever CI posted an annual increase of 44% on Monday, December 5, 2022. Despite this, its financial performance is not completely attractive.

The Ivory Coast subsidiary of the Unilever agroindustrial group is on track to achieve its best stock market performance on the Abidjan Regional Securities Exchange (BRVM) since 2011 with a stock market valuation that is up by around 44%. The only companies that are currently doing better than it on this financial market are Nestlé CI (+ 60.5% on 5 December) and SETAO (+45.9%).

For fiscal year 2021, Unilever reported a net financial profit of just over 6.6 billion FCFA ($10.6 million). However, on an accounting basis, the net profit presented for the shareholders' vote at the general meeting on December 13 is only 175 129 FCFA.

In addition, the margin achieved does not make up for the cumulative of previous losses, and the company's core capital is absorbed, and is left in a negative position of less than 4.4 billion FCFA.
