En effet, une partie de la déclaration de la SEC a mentionné que “l' attention de la Securities and Exchange Commission, Nigeria has been drawn to a report that the Italian securities regulator, (Commissione Nazionale per le Soecieta 'e la Borsa CONSOB) has blacklisted four (4) e-commerce companies and blocked their websites for fraudulent e-commerce and unauthorized offering of financial services.”

Also, the same report notes that “online financial service providers take advantage of the complexity of their operations and the limited understanding of most potential investors to conceal the details of their activities, thus plunging most investors into making ill-informed decisions. CONSOB therefore called on investors to exercise the utmost diligence in making informed investment choices to protect their savings, including verifying the registration status or not of these companies.”
