The gloominess of the Regional Securities Exchange (BRVM), which began on January 3, 2023, continued at the end of the trading day on January 5, 2023.

The BRVM 30 index (index of the 30 most traded stocks on the market) fell by 0.12% to 98.80 points compared with 98.92 points the day before. As for the composite index, it recorded a fall of 0.12% to 202.45 points compared with 202.69 points the day before.

For its part, the BRVM Prestige Index (an index grouping all the stocks listed on the Prestige compartment) ended the trading session with a slight increase of 0.09% to 100.17 points compared with 100.08 points the day before.

On Thursday, January 5, the stock market capitalization recorded a fall of 8.928 billion FCFA. It thus went from 7540.469 billion FCFA the day before to 7531.541 billion FCFA. As far as the bond market is concerned, it is up by 948 million, to 8,904.153 billion FCFA compared with 8903.205 billion FCFA the day before. As for the total value of transactions, a fall was noted with 410.921 million FCFA being made compared with 1.280 billion FCFA the day before.


The TOP 5 largest price increases are respectively occupied by SETAO Ivory Coast (plus 7.32% to 1,100 FCFA), Sicor Côte d'Ivoire (plus 7.06% to 6,220 FCFA), Vivo Energy Côte d'Ivoire (plus 7.04% to 760 FCFA), Sucrivoire Ivory Coast (plus 6.04% to 760 FCFA), Sucrivoire Ivory Coast (plus 6.06% to FCFA) 98% at 920 FCFA) then Uniwax Côte d'Ivoire (plus 6.25% at 850 FCFA). The top 5 largest price declines were held by Sicable Côte d'Ivoire (minus 7.26% to 1,085 FCFA), Total Senegal (minus 5.81% to 2,350 FCFA), SAFCA Ivory Coast (minus 5.68% to 830 FCFA), Oragroup Togo (minus 5.26% to 3,495 600 FCFA) and NSIA Banque Côte d'Ivoire (minus 3.77% at FCFA) and NSIA Banque Côte d'Ivoire (minus 3.77% at FCFA), Oragroup Togo (minus 5.26% at 3,495 600 FCFA) and NSIA Banque Côte d'Ivoire (minus 3.77% at FCFA) FCFA).
