Mariétou Traoré is a neurology doctor at King Baudouin Hospital. He is being prosecuted for fraud involving 5 million CFA francs and forgery and using forgeries in authentic public documents to the detriment of Kalidou Dème and Me Aloyse Ndong and faces two years in prison, including 6 months in prison.

Arrested and placed under arrest since 16 December 2022, Mariétou Traoré faced the judge of the Court of flagrant delicts. Mariètou Tra contested the allegations against her at the bar. She stated that she knew the civil party to the Treasury. According to her words, she agreed with the party after several discussions to initiate the purchase project an electromyography machine (EMG). “I told him that in Guédiawaye, we have problems with physiotherapy at Dalal Diam Hospital. Afterwards, I called the head of department at King Baudouin Hospital to tell him that I had a partner for the device (EMG). After discussions, the head of department approved the decision. In the meantime, the director had declared that the hospital needed to build rooms to start activities. This is what justified the delay in activities. Unfortunately, the contractor had stopped the work,” she justifies herself.

In its indictment, the prosecution requested that the indictment for the breach of trust be acquitted and requires 2 years, including 6 months for forgery and use of forgeries in authentic public writing. The verdict will be handed down on January 10.
