The press release mentions that “the results of the one-year and 6-month batch with five bidders served brought 120,000,000,000 FC either (60 million dollars) to the Treasury, or a coverage rate of the amount put in adjudication of 90%, at the accepted limit rate of 98.50% and a weighted average rate of 99.94% and the percentage awarded at the accepted limit rate of 100%.”

Thus, the economic operator or an individual who buys a Treasury Bill, lends money to the State and becomes its creditor in a way. Treasury bills are one of the safest investments on the money market and are 100% guaranteed by the government that issues them.
