Following an auction of 364-day Treasury Bonds (BAT) and 3-year Treasury Bonds (OAT), Mali obtained 36.012 billion FCFA from the WAEMU financial market on Wednesday, January 11, 2023.

The Public Treasury of Mali had put 35 billion FCFA up for auction, according to UMOA-Titres. Indeed, indexed global submissions from investors worth 36.012 billion FCFA after auction, giving a coverage rate of 102.89% of the amount put up for auction. The issuer accepted all the bids proposed to it, i.e. an absorption rate of 100%.

Investors whose submissions were issued, their repayment occurred on the first business day following the due date of January 12, 2026. Interest is fixed at 5.90% per year and at the end of the first year. For those whose bids were successful, they ended up with a weighted average return of 4.54% for bonds and 6.74% for bonds.
