The General Directorate of Treasury and Public Accounting of Guinea-Bissau raised 5.650 billion FCFA ($9.040 million) on the financial market of the West African Monetary Union (UMOA) on February 21, 2023. This was after it simultaneously issued an auction of Treasury Bonds (BAT) with a maturity of 91 days and equivalent Treasury Bonds (OAT) with a maturity of 7 years. This is to ensure that the financing needs of the country's state budget are covered. The amount put up for auction by the issuer was 12.5 billion FCFA according to UMOA-Titres, organizer of the operation.
