During an official visit to Benin, on 28 February 2023, the CEO and Deputy Administrator of Shelter Afrique met with the housing ministers of Benin and Togo. He also met with the dirigeants de la Caisse de Dépôts et Consignation du Bénin et de la SIMAU, ainsi que de la West African Development Bank (BOAD) .

The CEO and CEO of style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style”, "serif"> Shelter Afrique, Mr. Thierno-Habib Hann met with the Beninese Minister for Living Environment and Sustainable Development, José Didier Tonato, who is responsible for housing, and the Togolese Minister for Housing, Urbanism and Land Reform, Honorable Koffi Tsolenyanou. Indeed, during their talks, Honorable Tsolenyanou and Tonato renewed the commitment of both countries to engage more with Shelter Afrique. To do so, they promised to work together to address the issue of affordable housing in both countries.

Noted that Shelter-Afrique is a pan-African housing finance and development institution created by African governments to meet the need for a sustainable housing delivery system and related infrastructure projects in Africa.
