In an effort to support the growth and development of early-stage tech startups in Africa, the leading seed investor in the MENA region has launched an Africa Seed Fund ( ASF ) of $95 million.

A press release from Flat6Labs announces that the Africa Seed Fund will focus on three main investment territories. These will be North Africa, West Africa, and East Africa. It will also extend its reach in some countries, including Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Ghana and Cameroon. Over the next five years, Flat6Labs plans to invest in more than 160 early-stage startups “with a focus on high-impact sectors that accelerate digital inclusion through the use of information technology, and industries that contribute to addressing social and environmental challenges.”
