Agents of the Central Office for the Suppression of Cybercrime (OCRC) arrested ten people on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, in three cities in southern Benin for a cybercrime case.

During an operation carried out in Akpro-Missé, Cotonou and Abomey-Calavi, agents of the Central Office for the Suppression of Cybercrime (OCRC) recorded new arrests. According to police sources, five of these alleged cybercriminals were arrested by elements of the Republican Police in Cotonou, including four in Fidjrosè and one at Bernardin Gantin International Airport, four were arrested in Glo-Djigbé in the commune of Abomey-Calavi and one in Akpo-Missrété. These will be presented to the Court for the Suppression of Economic Offences and Terrorism (CRIET).
