Le Togo a encaissé la somme de 8.577 billion FCFA on the UEMOA financial market on Friday, March 24, 2023. This was at the end of a simultaneous auction for 12-month Treasury equivalent bonds (BAT) and 3- and 5-year equivalent Treasury Bonds (OAT).

The issuer auctioned 40 billion FCFA. The total amount of tenders after tendering is only 9.677 billion FCFA, giving a low coverage rate of 24.19% of the amount put up for auction by tenders. As for the rejected tenders, the amount is 1,100 billion FCFA, representing an absorption rate of 88.63%. And the one retained is 8.577 billion FCFA. Investors whose bids are successful will end up with a weighted average return of 6.84% for 3-year bonds, 6.87% for 5-year bonds, and 6.31% for BATs.

Interest is payable in advance and deducted from the nominal value of the vouchers, while vouchers are redeemable on the first business day following the due date of March 24, 2024.
