Held from January 27 to February 5, 2023, the 16th edition of the Ouagadougou International Craft Fair (SIAO) was a total success according to the president of the National Organizing Commission Fidel Ilboudo.

Ilboudo announced during a press conference held in Ouagadougou on Friday, March 24, that the 16th edition of the SIAO made it possible to show the resilience of the Burkinabe people through the successful organization of this event. During the fair, indicates the president of the National Organizing Commission, 24 cash and in-kind prizes worth 52,600,000 CFA francs were awarded to the winners by partners and sponsors. According to him, “the Grand Prix of the Head of State, worth 3,000,000 CFA francs, was won by Burkina Faso while the Prix des Régions, awarded by the President of the Transitional Legislative Assembly (ALT), worth 2,000,000 CFA francs was won by the Hauts-Bassins”.

In addition, Ilboudo appealed to all partners who have always believed in this African craft organization, to always support the SIAO so that crafts can contribute to the development of our various African countries.
