The Commodity Futures Trading Commission is suing Binance and its CEO Changpeng Zhao for allegedly violating federal laws. For this, he cannot register the platform in the United States. The decision came a month after Paxos, the issuer of the “Binance USD” (BUSD) stablecoin, was informed that the SEC was investigating the compliance of the product.

The National Assembly voted in favor of a bill that prohibits influencers from promoting projects related to cryptocurrencies. Unless the company concerned is an approved Digital Asset Service Provider (PSAN). During the vote, an amendment that aims to allow the promotion of projects registered and not approved as PSAN was rejected. Also, the Association for the Development of Digital Assets (Adan) had proposed an alternative framework to better regulate the activity of crypto influencers, but the deputies refused this proposal. It should be noted that the text of the law still has to go through the Senate and a joint joint committee.

Furthermore, MEPs have endorsed the idea of combating money laundering and terrorist financing, wishing to limit cryptocurrency payments to 1,000 euros if customers are unidentified (KYC). Thus, these regulations have been adopted by three European committees, which also provide for the creation of an agency dedicated to money laundering.
