US crude futures have fallen into a deposition situation, while the first-month contract is trading 6 cents more than the second-month contract. The US West Texas Intermediate fell 6 cents to $81.48 per barrel and Brent fell 5 cents to $85.57 per barrel at 0029 GMT. Prices rose by around 2% on Tuesday amid hopes that the Federal Reserve could slow its policy tightening after the release of U.S. consumer price data on Wednesday.
