Dans la matinée du jeudi 20 avril 2023, le chef du gouvernement ivoirien Patrick Achi, launched the construction of three new interchanges on François Mitterrand Boulevard, in the commune of Cocody, in Abidjan

With the aim of improving the flow of traffic on this boulevard, which connects the towns of Cocody and Bingerville, the government is implementing the construction of the structures that will be built at the crossroads of the Police Academy, Riviera 3 and Riviera Palmeraie. It is an opportunity for 600 young people to have a job on the various sites during the 33 months that the work will last. This project is indeed part of the Abidjan Urban Transport Project, the PTUA, initiated in 2016. With a total cost of 75 billion CFA francs, this program is co-financed by the Japanese International Cooperation Agency and the State of Côte d'Ivoire

“ Through the construction of these three interchanges, the government plans to make François Mitterrand Boulevard an element of the future Abidjan-Lagos international corridor, via its planned opening on Grand-Bassam,” said Patrick Achi.
