Dans le but d' aider la Banque nationale de développement économique ( BNDE) from Senegal to cover the guarantee costs of Senegalese small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), the African Guarantee Fund (AGF) has put at its disposal a fund of 5 billion CFA francs

.

The deputy managing director of the African Guarantee Fund in West Africa, Sibi Lawson said that “SMEs in Africa are often startups that do not have the currency to accumulate funds for the granting of guarantees at the bank level.” According to her, “AGF offers this guarantee to SMEs, to help the bank (the BNDE) to finance them in a much more comfortable way.” In reality, AGF is an African Guarantee Fund that helps banks finance small and medium-sized businesses on the continent. It offers financial institutions solutions for guaranteeing loans to SMEs. These can be portfolio guarantees, individual guarantees or bond issue guarantees
