Fitch Ratings a confirmé le 4 mai 2023, la note de défaut des émetteurs à long terme (LT IDR) de la Banque Ouest Africaine de Développement (BOAD) to “BBB” with a perspective steady.

Fitch revised the BOAD Autonomous Credit Profile (SCP) from “bbb” to “bb+” following a series of improvements. The IDR LT “BBB” reflects the solvency of the BOAD of “a-” and a negative adjustment of two notches to reflect the “high” risk business environment in which the bank operates. BOAD shareholders approved a new capital increase of 554 billion FCFA, or 50% of the subscribed capital. New non-regional shareholders are expected to subscribe to the remaining 25%, while existing shareholders will subscribe to 75% of the capital increase.
