La Banque africaine de développement (BAD ) published a report on & Laquo; African Industrialization Index”. According to this report, Tunisia is ranked 4th among the most industrialized countries in Africa

The report on “Africa Industrialization Index” was prepared by the African Development Bank in collaboration with the African Union (AU) and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). The document includes an introduction to the current situation of industrialization in Africa, as well as the main opportunities and constraints it faces. The BAD collected data covering 52 out of 54 African countries in order to develop a study on the African Industrialization Index (IIA

).

With 0.7714 Tunisia is the 4th most industrialized country in Africa, behind Egypt 3rd (0.7877), Morocco 2nd (0.8327) and South Africa which occupies the first position (0.8404). According to the Bank, industrialization is a strategic priority both in the framework of its 10-year Strategy (2013-2022) and in that of its 5 main priorities, the “High 5”. As part of its “Industrialize Africa” strategy. It therefore decides to support African countries in their industrialization and in the development of their economic potential
