The former CEO of Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI), who retired several weeks ago, has obtained the distinction, the most prestigious of the Togolese honorary orders in Lomé. According to the Togolese authorities, this is a recognition of the professional merit and career of the former No. 1 of the pan-African banking group. The recipient expressed his gratitude to the Togolese Head of State at the end of the ceremony, and praised Togo's development policy, stability and hospitality, which houses the headquarters of Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI), present in 33 African countries.

Noted that Ade Ayeyemi is a graduate in accounting and financial management. He held several strategic positions at ETI before being promoted to CEO in 2015, a position he held for nearly eight years
