Last week, the Nigerian federal government informed that Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airports (NAIA) Abuja and Mallam Aminu Concession of Kano would bring about 800 million USD to the State. For this reason, the Nigerian executive has preferred to give concessions to the main transport infrastructures to accelerate their development and earn income while maintaining their ownership rights

Aviation Minister Hadi Sirika estimates that detailed revenues, including initial fees, fixed and variable concession fees, and supervision fees from the Infrastructure Concessions Regulatory Commission (ICRC), will be around around 700 million USD for the Abuja platform and 97.4 million USD for the Kano platform.
