At the end of the trading session on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, the Bourse Régionale des Valeurs Mobilières (BRVM) resumed these types of stock market transactions recording traded values exceeding one billion FCFA.

After two days, the value of transactions stood at 1,071 billion FCFA against 577,662 million FCFA on June 20, 2023. At the origin of this strong transaction there is a traded value of 1.062 billion FCFA at the equity market level. The securities of the prestige compartment represent a large part of it, with a total amount traded of 754.955 million. The investors have set their sights on Sonatel Senegal (25,340 shares at the price of 15,200 FCFA, for a total value of 385.144 million FCFA) and Palm Côte d'Ivoire (27,781 shares at the price of 9,900 FCFA, for a total value of 269.231 million FCFA

The stock market capitalization of the stock market increased by 1.55 billion, from 7333.786 billion FCFA the previous day to 7335,336 billion FCFA on June 21, 2023. The bond market is still on a downward trend, standing at 10 023.073 billion FCFA against 10 039.157 billion FCFA the day before, i.e. a fall of 16.084 billion FCFA

On the index side, the same contrasting situation persists. The composite index (the general stock market index) rose slightly by 0.02% to 197.17 points against 197.13 points the day before. As for the BRVM 30 index (index of the 30 most traded stocks on the market), it also registered a slight increase of 0.03% to 98.87 points against 98.84 points the day before. For its part, the BRVM Prestige index (which brings together all the values listed in the Prestige compartment), recorded a slight decrease of 0.06% to 101.92 points against 101.98 points the day before.
