The West African Development Bank (BOAD) and the Italian public project finance organization, Cassa Depositi E Prestiti (CDP) signed, on Monday, July 3, 2023, in Lomé, a financing agreement for the provision of a credit line for the benefit of private sector companies in the UEMOA zone.

The two institutions are committed, through a funding partnership, to supporting the harmonious development of economies and communities in the UEMOA zone. This agreement allows the Italian side to contribute 60 million euros to this line of credit. The agreement was signed between the President of BOAD, Serge Ekué, and the Investment Officer of Financial Institutions at Cassa Depositi E Prestiti (CDP),

Through this agreement, both parties commit to financing the activities of private sector companies, with a focus on the agricultural sector, the promotion of gender and the improvement of the living conditions of the population.
