At the end of a simultaneous auction of 364-day treasury equivalent bonds (BAT) and 3 and 7-year treasury equivalent bonds (OAT), the State of Burkina Faso raised, on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, an amount of 28.103 billion FCFA on the UEMOA financial market.

The issuer auctioned 30 billion FCFA, and was offered bids of 32.783 billion, giving a coverage rate of the auctioned amount of 109.28%. The amount of the tenders rejected was 4.680 billion FCFA, i.e. an absorption rate of 85.72% and the one selected was 28.103 billion FCFA. In reality, the Burkina Faso Public Treasury intends to repay the capital of the bonds on the first business day following the maturity date set at May 25, 2026 for 3-year bonds and May 11, 2030 for 7-year
