At the end of the trading session on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, the Regional Stock Exchange (BRVM) recorded a decrease in the majority of these market activities.

The stock market capitalization fell by 34.031 billion FCFA, from 7673.805 billion FCFA on Friday, August 4, 2023, to 7639.774 billion FCFA on Tuesday, August 8, 2023. As for the bond market, it stood at 9969,038 billion FCFA against 9980.576 billion FCFA the day before, a decrease of 11.538 billion FCFA. On the other hand, the value of transactions rose slightly to 556.477 million FCFA against 441.323 million FCFA

As for the three leading stock market indices, they are experiencing a general downturn. The composite index (the general stock market index) fell by 0.44% to 205.36 points against 206.27 points the day before. The BRVM 30 index (index of the 30 most traded stocks on the market) also fell by 0.47% to 103.12 points compared to 103.61 points previously. For its part, the BRVM Prestige index (an index bringing together all the values listed in the Prestige compartment), fell 0.30% to 103.10 points against 103.41 points
