The CRRH-UEMOA 2023-2027 strategic plan offers banks innovative mechanisms to increase housing finance.

The 2023-2027 strategic plan, recently amended by the administrators, aims to increase the impact of the CRRH-UEMOA in terms of housing acquisition financing by tripling activity in 5 years. Several levers will be activated in order to achieve this objective, namely, improving its operating mode and the quality of its services, controlling the risk so as not to compromise its financial rating, expanding the activity of CRRH-UEMOA with three areas of intervention that will cover the spectrum of

bank needs.

Refinancing to boost the ecosystem and strengthen the classic business channel, including partnerships with ecosystem players who finance the offer in the context of real estate projects; in this scheme, CRRH-UEMOA completes the system by refinancing demand. Securitization in order to lighten the balance sheets of banks, and share the risk of real estate loan portfolios, thus opening the possibility of an “originate-to-distribute” model. Also, the guarantee: a complementary solution allowing you to eventually get rid of mortgage applications

.

About the UEMOA CRRH

The CRRH-UEMOA is one of the fruits of the cooperation initiated in 2005 by the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO), the West African Development Bank (BOAD) and the UMOA Financial Markets Authority (AMF — UMOA), to set up a mortgage market the UEMOA countries. Its mission is to offer UEMOA credit institutions long-term resources for the refinancing of mortgages granted to their customers, either by issuing loans on the regional financial market, or by mobilizing concessional resources from development

partners.
